WORKING PARTY WEEKEND

Working party weekend is on March 13th/14th. Although lots of the usual jobs cannot be done while building is still going on there are loads of items on the To Be Done list. Please come along it is always a fun weekend and Robin has said he will do a quiz in the evening for us. If you are a new member come and meet new friends if you are a long standing member you must realise how much work is needed to be done and why leave it to just a few.

EASTER DINNER Sat 3rd April

We are now taking names for the Easter Dinner. It will be £12.50 for 3 Courses. Lynn Benson has kindly volunteered to cook for us that evening. Only 50 places so get your names in quickly. Please ring Jane on 01654 767048 if you would like to book a place. We only have the lounge available to put a list up, so you can only get to that when the Bar is open, which is Friday evenings after 9.00pm.

CHANGING ROOM REFURBISHMENT

As the club is being knocked about and there is alot of dust at the moment, social meals are out of the question. The Bar will be open every Friday evening from 9.00 access by the Fire Escape.

The first social after the Refit will be The Easter Dinner on Saturday 3rd April then an Ex Commodores Supper on April 24th if you are interested in coming to either of these you will need to ring Jane on 01654 767048 as no lists can go up at the moment.

We apologise for the disruption but are sure you will appreciate that it will be worth it in the end.

Cinderella Pantomime

Due to some cancellations we now have 4 tickets left for the last night of the Pantomime (Saturday February 6th). Eat at the Club at 6.00 then go to the Panto at Neuadd Dyfi for 7.30 back to Club for Cheese & Biscuits. All this for £10.00. Always a good night out and from what I have seen this years panto Cinderella is going to be superb. Ring Jane on 01654 767048 if you would like to reserve any tickets.

WORKING PARTY WEEKEND – THANKYOU

The weather was not on our side for some of the jobs planned outside, but a small group of people put in a huge amount of time and effort and we achieved lots of cleaning, painting and maintanace work. It was a lovely friendly weekend with lots of laughter and general camaraderie. I would personally like to thank everyone who came and helped. We all have busy lives so I appreciate the time and energy you all gave to DYC.

Working Party Weekend 14th/15th November

Just a reminder about the Working Party Weekend. (Lots of jobs to do). Free Lunch will be provided Saturday and Sunday then on Saturday Evening we will supply an Evening Meal FREE TO ALL HELPERS AND THEIR SPOUSES. Please put your name up in the club if you are going to help or let Jane know 01654 767048.

Working party is always a very social event and supports the club in many ways.

Jobs suggested for this time

Clean Kitchen, Paint Stair hand rail, tidy up shed, OD Box and Boat Park, take boats with no DYC stickers to compound, etc. etc.

If you fancy any of these or can think of other jobs you have a skill for please come along.

The DYC Ball was a huge success, thankyou to everyone who came and dressed in colourful attire. All money raised during the evening will start the fund raising for the refurbishment of the changing rooms and toilets, hopefully in the New Year. You can see by the attached photographs how colourful the evening was.
