2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when DYC will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution our volunteers make across the UK. 

This year the Volunteers Week theme is ‘Celebrate and Inspire’.

Volunteers are crucial to the running of DYC. We are lucky to have many volunteers who give up their time to support the club.

As part of the week we would like to thank our willing volunteers and their supportive partners by inviting you to come along to the Club on Saturday 3rd June 11am (onwards) to enjoy a Bacon Bap (or veggie/vegan alternative) and hot drink on us. 

We want to continue to develop a fun and team led club and rely on volunteers to do so. A volunteering commitment can be for a few minutes, hours, days or over a longer sustained period.

With an increasing number of on and off the water events we are appealing for new volunteers.
